#GermanGP: ELECTRONIC BLOCKS DOMINIQUE AEGERTER IN THE RACE

ELECTRONIC BLOCKS DOMINIQUE AEGERTER IN THE RACE

The Swiss rider had to retire at an early stage already.

After constantly changing conditions on the previous days, the weather appeared more stable on Sunday at tight and twisty Sachsenring. Despite dark skies, it remained dry all day. As so many times, Dominique Aegerter put in a lightning start but was soon abandoned by his race machine. Electronic issues forced him to a pit stop, where his crew could not fix it. Therefore, unfortunate, the Swiss rider had to retire.

At halfway point of the championship, the series heads into a four-weeks summer break now. Action returns early in August at Czech Republic’s Brno circuit.

#77 Dominique AEGERTER (Kiefer Racing, Suter MMX2), NC (Championship position 9th, 50 points):

"I’m very sorry for my sponsors and all the fans who came to the Sachsenring to support me. I’m sorry for them all that I could not finish the race because of technical problem. This is really a pity and it is always disappointing when you are forced to retire in this way. Good points and a top ten result were definitely possible today. As soon as the problem occurred, I went back to the pits immediately where we tried to fix it. Unfortunately, also a second stop did not help, we could not fix it. This is certainly not a nice way to end the first half of the season."
