#DutchGP: MORE POINTS LITTLE COMFORT AFTER STREAKY WEEKEND AT ASSEN’S “CATHEDRAL”

MORE POINTS LITTLE COMFORT AFTER STREAKY WEEKEND AT ASSEN’S “CATHEDRAL”

In his third race after the injury break one month ago, Dominique Aegerter was able to take two points from a difficult race.

Sunday’s round eight of the 2018 World Championship took place in sunny weather but with strong winds. Dominique Aegerter once again proved his qualities as a true racer. However, the Swiss rider was not able to benefit greatly from his lightning start but it then took just a couple of laps to find his rhythm and fight his way through the wild pack in Moto2 category.

In two weeks, probably the most important weekend of the year awaits Dominique Aegerter and his Kiefer Racing Team with the German Grand Prix at the legendary Sachsenring.

#77 Dominique AEGERTER (Kiefer Racing), 14th - Championship position 16th (22 points):

"There is no really joy about today’s two points. To came home in P14 with 27 seconds behind the race winner is a big disappointment. We have made a small step forward during qualifying, as well as we finish warm-up very close to the top, but we could not keep this lap times consistently. So, that was our problem in today’s race. Again, I was lacking confidence in corner entry and maybe it was a matter of a not optimal bike setup, that I simply can brake later and longer in turning. I think with consistent mid 1´38, maybe the top ten would have been possible. I would have been one second faster in average. So, this means that in point of my riding, I don’t have won these two points. Riding this good bike and also to be backed by this good team, today’s outcome is just disappointing for me."
