#AustrianGP: SPIELBERG TO CHECK OFF AS DOMINIQUE AEGERTER EYES TO HEAD WITH FULL STRENGTH TO SILVERSTONE

SPIELBERG TO CHECK OFF AS #DA77 EYES TO HEAD WITH FULL STRENGTH TO SILVERSTONE

At the tricky mountainous Styrian track, Swiss rider Dominique Aegerter and his Kiefer Racing team struggled all the weekend to find a proper setting to the bike.

After the partially rainy days of practice, finally the summer returned in full strength to the beautiful Stryian Murtal region on race day. However, Dominique Aegerter could hardly benefit from the perfect conditions at the time of the race. The backlog regarding to the bike’s setup was not to catch up during this morning’s warm up session. Aegerter finished in a disappointing 17th position.

After a hectic start into the second half of the season with consecutive races in Brno and Spielberg, the championship allows itself a short break before going to Silverstone for the British Grand Prix in two weeks.

#77 Dominique AEGERTER (Kiefer Racing), 17th - Championship position 17th (24 points):

"There is not much to say after this race. Spielberg 2018 was a disappointing weekend. The two rainy practice session have thrown us far back. We tried a few changes to the geometry, but we didn’t make any progress in this respect. In addition, the time was very short to setup the bike for this track. But I’m also looking for mistakes on myself and therefore I will try to be better concentrated next time. On the other hand, we will do everything possible with the team so that we can get more out of existing practice time and look what we can do with bike’s settings."
