#ThaiGP: MISSING POINTS IN HOT BURIRAM RACE

#DA77: MISSING POINTS IN HOT BURIRAM RACE

Dominique Aegerter has to leave the championship’s premiere in Thailand with an ungrateful 16th place.

The Moto2™ World Championship’s debut race this weekend at the exciting Chang International Circuit in was in many ways an extra-class spectacle. Exciting races and an unbelievable tight competition at all already increase the anticipation of the return to Buriram in one year. However, from Swiss rider Dominique Aegerter’s and Kiefer Racing’s point of view, this race weekend was somehow a very special challenge.

The championship continues in two weeks with the Grand Prix of Japan.

#77 Dominique AEGERTER (Kiefer Racing), 16th - Championship position 18th (27 points):

"Of course, after a good weekend of consistent performances during practice sessions, this result is very disappointing. We closed each session around P15 as well as we never had a big gap to the front. But in the race, I became a technical problem starting in about the second third of the distance. In addition, the heat has bothered me a lot because from this point on I constantly had to fight with the bike. Beyond that, I think we have to change our strategies a bit, because during free practices our pace stronger than on Sunday. That just can’t be the case."
