Dominique Aegerter is confident that he will be able to increase his points tally at the tricky Sachsenring.
However, Dominique Aegerter wasn’t able to repeat the uphill qualifying performance from Assen this time, but he is still satisfied with what he has achieved after a difficult first day of practice in Germany. The 28-year-old Swiss rider will start from P21 in row seven on Sunday.
#77 Dominique AEGERTER (MV Agusta Idealavoro Forward, MV Agusta F2), Grid position 21st - 1´24.334 (3/11):
"I had imagined going into this weekend that it would be a bit easier. But on this curvy track you'll always experience unpleasant surprises. Today, however, we managed to improve significantly my feeling with the bike. Therefore, I would like to thank my team for their efforts and excellent work. Our pace is constant, I'm satisfied with the lap times but unfortunately, we were missing a few tenths to be more competitive in qualifying and to make it through Q2. But my feeling for the race is definitely better than one week ago at Assen. I feel much more comfortable with our MV Agusta. But we’ve to continue to further improve. We still have a few tasks to do before the race and we will work on them to be able to go into the summer break with more points."
