On Saturday, Dominique Aegerter was slowed down by rainy conditions during qualifying.
Day two of practice at round ten has been affected by ever changing weather. After a rain shower in the morning, the track dried out during the third free practice session. But the next thunderstorm came in the afternoon. At the time of qualifying, teams and riders had to go out for their time attack in the rain. For Dominique Aegerter this exercise was thoroughly missed. Massive grip problems prevented him from attacking.
#77 Dominique AEGERTER (MV Agusta Temporary Forward, MV Agusta F2), Grid position 30 - 2´18.299 (6/7):
"This morning in the dry FP3, we could make a step forward with the Bike. But in the afternoon, it started to rain. So, this was why I could never find a good feeling during qualifying. In addition, I didn't have any grip at all at the rear. So, I was never able to push. Because of the short session with only 15 minutes there is no possibility to make changes to the bike. Furthermore, we still lack a lot of experience with our MV Agusta in the rain. Tomorrow we have to start from the back. To leave the line in the best possible way is a prerequisite for a conciliatory end of the weekend. Hopefully the weather will improve again so that we can catch up some positions during the race. I haven't given up the goal with the top 15 yet. But for now, we have to stay calm and finish the final preparations correctly."
