Together with his strong performance one year ago, Dominique Aegerter names in one breath all the amenities of a race weekend at the picturesque island in the south of Australia.

The 29-year-old Swiss Dominique Aegerter gladly accepted the long and complicated journey from Tokyo to Melbourne. The Australian Grand Prix has become a special highlight of the annual overseas races in October since long. In addition to the fascinating landscape surrounding the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, other delicacies await him in Down Under.

Just like one week ago in Japan, the Moto2™ class will go out on track for practice sessions before MotoGP™ this time again. Till the time changeover from Saturday to Sunday, the time difference to Central Europe is nine hours. So, The Moto2 race will start at 3:20am CET.

#77 Dominique AEGERTER (MV Agusta Temporary Forward, MV Agusta F2):

"I come to Phillip Island with very nice memories. Australia was the best weekend of the season for me last year. The outlook from P4 on the starting grid was amazing and the race went very well too. This track is unique and simply awesome at the same time. I think that its fast and flowing layout should suit our MV Agusta F2. Especially in the many fast corners here we should be able to play out the strengthens of our bike. But our stay at this beautiful island is something special every year. Usually the whole team stays together in a holiday home and in the evening we cook together. I really like that, and it also promotes the team spirit. After my long journey from Japan I have recovered well, did some practice and I feel ready for the weekend. So far, we’ve had fantastic weather here. Hopefully the next few days will be similarly beautiful."
