Dominique Aegerter and his Kawasaki WorldSSP Team were at the Cremona Circuit in northern Italy on Friday and Saturday for an important test.

After a difficult preseason due to the mostly rainy winter tests last January, Dominique Aegerter headed into his Supersport campaign this year at Phillip Island in late February, trailing slightly behind.

As soon as the team received all the equipment shipped back from Australia at its workshop in Italy, it began exploring options for a test during the break before the second race of the season in Portugal at the end of March. The Cremona Circuit proved to be a suitable venue this week. Aegerter completed almost 90 laps on Friday under good conditions, while the weather on Saturday once again allowed limited track work. Nevertheless, the 35-year-old managed 27 laps and was satisfied with the work accomplished on both days.

«We were lucky with the weather over the past two days—at least on Friday. On Saturday morning, thick fog lingered for a long time, and in the afternoon, it started raining again. So, we had one good day for testing, since we were only able to complete a few runs under good conditions on the second day. The team had prepared a long checklist for Cremona. We focused mainly on the electronics, while the suspension settings remained almost unchanged. A big thank you to Manuel Puccetti and the team for organizing this test, as it was very important for us. We are now better prepared than we were before Phillip Island, even though we still have a lot of work ahead of us to achieve the goals we’ve set for ourselves.»
