On Friday afternoon, Dominique Aegerter was a full 1.3 seconds faster than in Free Practice, securing eleventh spot on the starting grid.
 
For Round 3 of the ongoing championship, teams and riders of the WorldSBK series travelled to the famous TT Circuit in Assen, in the north of the Netherlands. In spring-like weather and bright sunshine, Dominique Aegerter was able to showcase his skills in his time attack for a promising starting position at one of his favourite tracks.

After finishing this morning in P19, the 35-year-old Kawasaki rider and his crew found another click to the bike's setting, which helped Aegerter post a very competitive lap time in Superpole. With his personal best time, which he set on the final lap of the 40-minute session, he was just over half a second behind the top three riders.

«We are leaving no stone unturned in our quest to keep improving. In Superpole, we took a big step forward and were just 0.5 seconds off today's pole time. That means we will start from P11 in the first race tomorrow afternoon. The weather was nice today; hopefully it stays that way on Saturday and Sunday, and as I have said many times before, I really like this track. But we need to keep working to shave off a few more tenths. Still, I hope we can fight for a spot in the top ten tomorrow. More importantly, though, we need to keep improving step by step and gain more confidence in the bike. A big thank you to all the fans for their support — I will definitely give it my all in the race to make this a great weekend for them in Assen.»
