Dominique Aegerter and his Kawasaki WorldSSP Team are particularly motivated heading into round seven of the season in Misano, the team’s home round. But alos the 35-year-old Swiss rider feels right at home there.

The World Championship's visit to the Misano World Circuit is considered one of the highlights of the calendar year after year. The FIM Superbike World Championship enjoys great popularity in Italy, which is why the returns to this track — a stone's throw from the beaches of the Adriatic coast - every year is very welcome. The track's layout is predominantly fast and flowing, and the run-off areas offer a colorful sight.

Dominique Aegerter feels almost at home in Misano, not only on the racetrack but also off the circiut in this popular vacation destination. The 2026 season, in which Aegerter returned to the Supersport category after three years racing in Superbike class, has been a tough nut to crack so far for the ambitious racer from the canton of Bern. This makes him all the more determined to get a handle on the Kawasaki WorldSSP Team’s Ninja ZX-6R 636 in Misano so he can ride it fast.

«I’m really looking forward to heading to Misano, where I really like the track. Plus, Misano always feels like a home race to me, while for the Puccetti Team it’s definitely their home round. It’s a great place to spend some time there, as the weather is expected to be nice and many sponsors will be visiting me, as well as lots of fans from Switzerland who will be coming to support me. After a difficult weekend last time out in Aragón, where we didn’t score any points, we’ll try to do better. I’d like to be more competitive and show our true potential. As always, I’ve prepared as best I could at home. So, I’m in good shape and looking forward to getting back on my Kawasaki Supersport bike. I really hope I can ride it the way it’s meant to be ridden. I’ve worked a lot with the team, and after the Aragón weekend, we had a one day of testing at the same track where we got our first impressions of the new tires that will be introduced next year. I think it’s time to achieve better results. Not just for me, but also from the perspective of our sponsors and the media, it’s getting harder and harder when we deliver results like we have in recent races. But I’ll keep giving it my all and really hope that things turn around this weekend at Misano so that I can be fast on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.»
