Dominique Aegerter suffered two disappointments at Most on Saturday, after failing to make it past row six of the grid in Superpole and not being able to pull out any trees in the race either.
As on Friday, the second day of the sixth meeting of the season at the Autodrom Most in the north-west of the Czech Republic was characterized by hot temperatures and high humidity. After the ray of hope in Friday afternoon’s FP2, Dominique Aegerter's day began with a difficult third free practice session this morning, which he just managed to finish in the top 20.
Superpole was then on the program, in which the starting grid for the first main race and the short 10-lap race on Sunday morning is determined. In his time attack, the 33-year-old Swiss rider also struggled to find a better feeling for his Yamaha Superbike. He therefore did not have high hopes for the race in the afternoon, when temperatures reached more than 30 degrees. Three points were no consolation for him.
Aegerter and his Italian GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team have two chances on Sunday to end the weekend in Most with damage limitation. ServusTV überträgt das zweite Hauptrennen live, das Superpole-Rennen wird in der Vorberichterstattung aufgezeichnet.

Grid position 17 / Race 1: P13
«To be honest, I have to admit that it was not a very pleasant Saturday. We were not able to set any fast lap times in Superpole, which led to 17th place on the grid. In fact, not a good starting position for the race. In the race, I was not able to overtake as many riders as I had hoped. At least we scored a few points with 13th place. Our pace was slower than in FP2. Nevertheless, I did my best, in what was a very long and exhausting race because of the heat. We definitely will sit down to analyze the data together with the technicians and the team to see how we can improve before tomorrow. First and foremost, it is about my feeling with the bike. A difficult task awaits us in the Superpole race to see the chequered flag in the top nine. But we will try and do our best. If we don't succeed, then we'll try again in the afternoon over the long distance to make up as many places as possible.»
